About Kabin 7 Studios

2015

Kabin 7 Studios started in 2015 as a hobbyist space for owner and producer, Josh Callander. It was mainly used for Josh's own projects, not as a space for recording others.

By 2018, The Kabin was quickly becoming a popular space for  recording artists to make music at, as the hobbyist studio started shifting it's gears to providing professional studio services.

2019

Over the year, The Kabin became a hot spot for the local hip hop scene in the Waterloo Region. Numerous albums and singles were being produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Kabin 7.

"I'm an audiophile through and through. I've been fascinated with high-end audio and music for as long as I can remember. I've also been a multi-instrumental musician from a young age (4), so I'm really not surprised that I find so much joy in producing and engineering. Over the last 7 years, I've been gathering the knowledge and equipment necessary to achieve the highest possible quality that I can. I continuously further my knowledge and always strive to make my next project better than the last. I'm all about establishing a real relationship with my clients, and I find the music turns out better that way. I want to work with artists who are just as driven as me to, one, create timeless music, and two, take it to the top of this industry. I've turned my passion into my profession, but it will always remain my passion, and I think your music deserves that type of attention."
